Enterprise resource planning

Finance, inventory, purchasing, production and HR on one ledger — rolled out one module at a time, so the business keeps running.

ERP projects fail when they are attempted all at once. Ours are sequenced: the module that causes the most pain goes first, it goes live properly, and only then do we start the next one. Each phase pays for itself before the following one begins.

What this covers

  • General ledger, receivables, payables and financial statements
  • Inventory across multiple stores with valuation and stock ageing
  • Purchasing: requisition, approval, order, receipt and supplier payment
  • Sales: quotation, order, dispatch, invoice and collection
  • Production: bill of materials, work orders and material consumption
  • HR and payroll with attendance-device integration

Phased implementation

A typical sequence is inventory and purchasing first, then sales and receivables, then finance, then production and HR. Each phase is three to six weeks and ends with real users on real data. If a phase does not deliver what was promised, we stop and fix it before the next one starts.

One version of the numbers

The point of an ERP is that stock, sales and the ledger cannot disagree. Every transaction posts once and flows to the accounts automatically. Month-end closing stops being a week of matching spreadsheets and becomes a review of exceptions.
